EVENTS

The Society of Colonial Wars

The first meeting of the Society took place on the 20^th January 2000 at the Oriental Club, in London.
A meeting took place on Saturday 22^nd September 2001 at the Royal Green Jackets Museum (Peninsula Barracks) in Winchester. The 60^th Royal American Regiment's History was of particular interest.
This was followed by an excellent lunch at the nearby Lainston House Hotel, Sparsholt.
The Annual General Meeting took place on the 19th April 2002 at the Royal Green Jacket Club, London, W.1.
The society had a 4 day event in Winchester from September 26th to September 29th 2002. Upark House was one of several sites visited.
A September Meeting took place in September 2003 at the Headquarters of the Honorouble Artillery Company incoporated in 1537 in London
The Annual General Meeting took place on the 25th March 2004 at the Royal Green Jacket Club, London
A weekend event in Cambridgeoccured inSeptember 2004
A 4 day event occured in York in September 2005
19th May 2007 The Sulgrave Manor Board invited members to tour the Ancestoral home of George Washington, Sulgrave Manor, built in Tudor times by Lawrence Washington. At lunch afterwards we were entertained by Professor James Hume, actor, lawyer, and speech writer for five Presisidents.
